My Berlin: Esther Lundt, Marketing and Buyers Management, PREMIUM GROUP

Esther from the Marketing and Buyers Management department has been with PREMIUM GROUP for almost ten years. Read on to find out her favourite Berlin brands and where to get the best Italian food:

Home is...

 ...where my family is.

Your happy Place in Berlin?

Our home in Wilmersdorf. It’s a charming neighbourhood with a lot of cafes and restaurants as well as little green oases.

I am a loyal customer to...

The ice cream and waffle place that my kids love, all day every day. As well as all good food places! But when it comes to fashion I love to stroll through and shop in KaDeWe.

Favourite Berlin Brand(s)…

One of the latest to come from Berlin is handbag brand Maison Héroïne. A must-have accessory for Fashion Week is the smartphone necklace cases by XOUXOU. I also never go out without a lip balm, and I really like UND GRETEL

West Berlin is the best because...

For me, there is no other place in Berlin that feels so much like home. However, I am also fond of Mitte because it has a lot of amazing restaurants, bars and fashion stores.

My favourite brunch spot is...

There are a lot of great spots but I really love ‚A never ending love story‘ - try the Vegan Bircher Müsli or the Mexican Breakfast Bowl.

Who is a true Berliner...

My husband. He even has a fan club for Hertha BSC lol!

The latest you have ever stayed up?

Back in the days, it was easily the morning after. But times change… the last time I stayed up late was my birthday party.

Favourite restaurant?

893 Ryōtei is one of my favourites. Here you should definitely order the Celery Dengaku and Miso Cod.

Osteria Ribaltone, located at the beautiful Viktoria-Luise-Platz, is a Berlin institution with great traditional Italian food. A place where you can get lost in time.

Where did you buy your last shoes?

The Adidas Nite Jogger from Adidas.

Favourite stores outside of Berlin?

Uzwei in Hamburg with it’s unique concept. I was recently in London to visit some stores and buyers. The new store of Wolf & Badger in Coal Drops Yard is just WOW! And I really fell in love with AIDA Shoreditch.

Best place to spend the Berlin summer days...

Berlin and its surroundings have wonderful spots and lakes. It may sound a bit old fashioned but Britzer Garden is a beautiful place that is worth a visit.

What makes Berlin so special...

It is diverse, honest and authentic with an inspiring spirit.

Tips on surviving Fashion Week…

I am an old timer at PREMIUM and have experienced lots of Berlin Fashion Weeks and our own PREMIUM GROUP events. Nevertheless, every season is different with new topics and projects. But with the familiar and great team that we have, it’s easy to survive the hurly-burly. But I must add those skinny bitches for drinks can also help ;)

Favourite thing about working at PREMIUM...

Like I already mentioned, I’m working for PREMIUM GROUP for almost ten years now. Over the years our shows have developed and I’m happy to . What’s more, I’m lucky that I travel a lot for my job to different cities like Milan or London and I am in contact with people from all over Europe. Building personal relationships to buyers is very important for my job which makes everyday at work differently. Last but not least: our weekly cross fit team training – hard but lots of fun!

What are you looking forward to most at our next trade show…

The summer editions are my favourite as I love the atmosphere. It is always lovely to welcome our long-standing visitors from around the world as well as making new friends. What’s more, it is exciting to see our plans come to life.
